FULL-SERVICE LOCKSMITH (Full Time Position) in Converse, TX
If you are, at present, a knowledgeable lock technician based in or around Converse, or want to become one, and you are considering full-time employment with one of Converse’s top locksmith companies, we want you! We have an excellent standing among the companies, drivers, and homeowners of Converse. We give preference to lock technicians able to move nationwide or within Texas itself.
Job Details
As a full-service locksmith, you will be given the tasks of scheduled and last minute jobs in Converse, Texas and surrounding regions including rekeying, installing, repairing, and replacing commercial, car, and residential locks. Additionally, you’ll address inquiries for duplication of keys, lockouts of all kinds, laser key cutting, and transponder key programming. Please note that this is a full-time position that will require being on call for most hours.
Your Duties and Responsibilities
In addition to the skills already mentioned, you’ll need to be knowledgeable and experienced with:
- unlocking car doors and trunks
- repairing and replacing car ignitions
- installing commercial security apparatuses like push bars and CCTVs while using needed equipment and tools
- switching out locks
- disassembling and reassembling lock parts
- rekeying industrial, auto, and household locksets
- business, auto, and residential lock work
- using a key cutting machine to cut new keys
- repairing and installing electronic locks like keyless entry and biometric locks

Typical Working Conditions
- being on-call 24 hours a day, 6 days a week to travel in and around the Converse, TX vicinity
- heavy-duty uniforms supplied
- lifting heavy objects regularly
- ability to work in tense situations and keep composure
- doing work in all weather conditions, rain or shine, ice or snow
Required Skills and Knowledge
If you’re positive that you’ll be able to complete all the tasks previously mentioned, you must possess the following qualifications too before sending in an application:
- dependable car or van for work
- US citizen, Green Card holder, or valid work visa
- holder of a valid Texas driving license with a completely clean driving record
- excellent interpersonal skills (this means being well-mannered and friendly)
- 5+ years experience in locksmithing is preferred, but not mandatory
- high school graduate or GED certification
Compensation
Salary for this job is commission-based, contingent upon working experience and salesmanship.
